Family Squid formed in 2009 through the work of four friends from college. Reuniting in Chicago with the intent of making one short film, the friends expanded their desire into a larger ambition: to create sharp, innovative entertainment for various forms and genres.

In less than a year since forming, Family Squid has grown from a one-short movie idea into a business providing services ranging from story conception, idea implementation, casting, location scouting, fundraising, complete production from script to screen and back again. Offering services in both Chicago, IL and Madison, WI Family Squid offers midwestern individuals and businesses alike its range of creative services.
